Since 2020, the Micronational Outer Space Task Force has exclusively brought together three micronations in the space domain: the American Empire, the Kingdom of Slabovia, and the Grand Duchy of Westartica. Their common goal: to explore space from a symbolic, scientific, educational, and cultural perspective, while affirming the ability of micronations to project themselves beyond their terrestrial borders.

On October 13, 2025, at the Sheraton Hotel in Niagara Falls, Canada, a highly symbolic moment occurred: the three members of the Task Force jointly signed the "Micronation Space Cooperation Treaty" initiated by the Republic of West Who. This treaty represents a historic milestone, as the three micronational space powers ratified it simultaneously, thus strengthening its international legitimacy within the Micro-World.

The Republic of West Who, based in Colorado, is not a member of the Task Force, but it plays a leading role as the initiator of the treaty. Its space program, particularly advanced for a micronation, includes Earth observation, planetary science, satellite communications, and astronomy outreach. It even has a national observatory and a dedicated agency, the Space and Planet Exploration Agency (SPEA). It was within this framework that it launched an open treaty, now signed by at least seven other micronations, well beyond the Task Force.

Within the Task Force, Westartica brings a unique scientific and environmental dimension. With its strong commitment to the protection of Antarctica, it aligns space exploration with climate research, Earth observation, and global ecological issues. Its influence gives the project a scientific and sustainable depth.

Slabovia, recognized for its rigorous administrative structure and diplomatic experience, plays a central role in coordination and logistical management. Accustomed to multilateral agreements and the organization of international events, it ensures the coherence of joint projects and the institutional stability of the Task Force.

Finally, the American Empire embodies the creativity, boldness, and cultural dimension of exploration. Its ability to imagine original concepts, to unite through humor, and to showcase the conquest of space makes it a major narrative and media driver. It transforms space into a vector of inspiration, accessible to all micronations.

The Niagara Falls event is therefore a convergence: the three historical members of the Task Force have joined forces around the West Virginia Treaty, creating a bridge between two major space initiatives. This alliance between an existing Task Force and a treaty open to many micronations could lay the foundations for future large-scale cooperation.

This announcement quickly sparked reactions within the micronational community. Among the first to respond, the Formoire community stood out with a message both enthusiastic and humorous, true to its characteristic style. Through its representative, the Right Honorable Sogoln Yg Ysca, it declared:

"I think it's time for the Formori to step forward. Prepare to hear about the Formori Outer Space Scouts Interplanetary League (FOSSIL), to dare to go nowhere where no Formori has ever dared before! We don't know yet what we will do, but we have already begun to explore beyond this world... with our webbed-footed flag."

One fundamental question remains: will this Task Force become a genuine cooperation program or will it remain a symbolic showcase? Everything will depend on the signatories' ability to transform their vision into concrete actions, mobilize partners, and maintain strategic cohesion over the long term. In any case, this Niagara Falls Treaty marks a new stage in the maturity of the micronational movement. For the first time, space is no longer a distant dream, but a shared horizon.

For the record, the Micronational Outer Space Task Force was formed in 2020 and consists only of the Aerican Empire, Slabovia, and Westarctica. At this event, it happened that all three members of the task force signed the West Who Micronation Space Cooperation treaty, which at least seven other micronations have already signed. -RM (Slabovia)
